How does an ant eat an elephant? One bite at a time. Big problems are composed of smaller, albeit interconnected, problems. Solving the smaller problems will have an implication on the larger problems.

MiTzI

Through all my hustle and bustle of preparing to leave in the morning for a month in Europe, I felt like I needed to just say that our family dog will be missed, yes even by me! :( My parent's took Mitzi today, our dog we got when I was 10 years old, to be put to sleep! Sad, but happy at the same time...she was getting SO old and miserable! But it's SO weird not to see hear around the house!!! She'll be missed around here...

The 4th of JULY

I had a fantastic fourth this year..a little eventful, but it was wonderful to be in the states for it! It's been years since I've been around on the 4th of July...usually out of the country. I spent most of the day with family and it was so much fun to be with them! We started out the morning with the annual neighborhood breakfast! I LOVE all my neighbors that I grew up with...they are amazing and I love getting to see them...esp my bff's, Spenc, Chewy, Nicole and Em. Good times! After the breakfast we went down to my sister-in-law's mom's house for the Kaysville parade. I don't know if you knew, but the K-town parade is the best! It's so much fun! They have the traditional parade, but then the last half is a big water section where you can water fight with the parade. Well, my family, and the Thompson and Patane families get pretty into it and we have SO much fun! Unfortunately this year there were a couple incidents that ruined the fun. A 10yr old was partially run over by one of the parade trailers right in front of us and apparently another boy right ahead of this incident a few minutes later. They ended up life flighting the poor little guy...but good news, he was released the next day with minimal damage! I'm happy that he's okay. Here's a pic of me, Jason and Niki helping at the accident.
So after the parade, we went back to my parent's house and just relaxed and I was able to spend some time with my super cute nephew, Jackson! Hmmmm I LOVE HIM! He's getting so big and his personality is really starting to shine through...he's such a crack up!

That night I watched the Davis fireworks with the Richins and my family and then headed to the Lloyds to visit with some friends. Afterwards was able to spend time with some of my SL friends that were in Farmington. We had a great time and I just love the 4th of July!

Every once in awhile I get to spend a night with the amazing girls I did my semester in Romania with. Half of these girls I lived with, the other half lived across town. We all got really close though during our semester there and I love these girls like no one else...they shared some really special, fun, embarrassing, tender, and hillarious moments with me in Iasi. I loved every minute I was in Romania and feel like it's a second home and a lot of that is because of these girls that I shared that experience with.
Over the years, we have all gone our ways and there are only a couple of us still in Utah. However, last week a few of them were in town for the holiday and for other reasons....so we got together for dinner (Kath, I don't know where you were...but we missed you! as well as you other girls that couldn't make it...the was the least amt of us that have showed up...was fun, but weird!) We just went to California Pizza Kitchen to eat, get caught up on each other's lives and share old memories. Alissa and Carrie both brought their babies, which was a fun addition to the night! It was so good to see you girls and remember some of those fun times we had!!

My RoOmMaTeS!

So the past two years I have lived with the same girls (for the most part) and I just LOVE them to death!!! I have been so blessed to have such fantastic roommates that are some of my best friends and that I get along with so well. We've had some awesome times in Katie's house out there in T-ville! I recently moved...well am kinda homeless (staying with Grandma and my parent's till after tour when I find a new place closer to downtown)...but I just want to say how much I love these girls and how sad I am to not be living with them anymore!! We're all going our own ways this summer...I just moved, Allison's getting married in Aug, Ali got into Dental Hygiene school down in Provo, Marie is in the process of buying a place...and Katie will stick with her cute house. I'll miss living with these lovely ladies so much though!! Love you girls!!

A little trip to Evanston...

This last weekend was full of Clog America. We had rehearsal all day on Saturday (I'm pretty sure it'll be my last one ever!) and then rushed up to Evanston for my dear Cathi's wedding. She was so so excited to see all of us up there to support her and had such a good time on our short road trip! Cathi's been a great friend and such a wonderful travel buddy! Congrats on the marriage Cathi girl!
